
Little Eagle Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that Grady Laine Uses Arrow, age 21, of Little Eagle, South Dakota, appeared before United States District Judge Charles B. Kornmann on June 4, 2012, and pled guilty to the charge of Sexual Abuse with a Person Incapable of Consenting. The maximum penalty upon conviction is life in custody, a $250,000 fine, or both; up to life of supervised release; and a $100 special assessment. The conviction arose from an incident that occurred on October 4, 2010, when Grady Laine Uses Arrow sexually assaulted a person in Little Eagle, South Dakota. The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Standing Rock Agency. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Mikal Hanson. A presentence investigation was ordered, and a sentencing date was set for September 10, 2012. The defendant was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending sentencing. |
